Lucky Golfer Wins Hio Prize

28 August 2013 — There isn’t a golfer who wouldn’t love to sink a hole-in-one – and there wouldn’t be a single person on Earth who does not wish to win a fabulous prize for that. One lucky golfer, Mr Lim Hock Thiam succeeded by doing just that on Tues, 6 August when he participated at the Singapore Horology Golf Cup 2013, held at Tanjong Course, Sentosa Golf Club.

Playing off at 124 metres on Par-3 Hole No. 5 (blue tee), Mr Lim, with a handicap of 14.4 under his belt, and despite facing an uphill Par-3 surrounded by bunkers, with no where the bottom of the flag from the tee in sight, he took a precise and confident swing with his iron, aiming right at the target. Accuracy here is paramount as the right and left of the green are out-of-bounds. But a hole-in-one is certainly achieved, nonetheless. And Mr Lim is now the proud winner of TOTO Designer Bathroom Makeover worth $30,000.

The General Manager of Hour Glass Ltd, Mr Lim Hock Thiam remarked, “I am a happy man. This is my first Hole-in-one achievement. And it so happened that I am looking to upgrade my bathroom. Now, I have a wonderful opportunity to do that in the best way possible with TOTO!”
