3 August 2016, Singapore – Republic of Fritz Hansen has launched Objects, its new accessories line at the Salone del Mobile. The collection has twelve, beautiful designs for the home, that has been designed by both Danish and international designers such as design duo Studio Roso, Wednesday Architecture and Jamie Hayon. This unique collection reflects Fritz Hansen’s passion for good, functional design with a purpose. Like the furniture, the range of accessories seeks to complement any space, and to add a touch of Nordic lifestyle and playfulness to the home.
Genuine Objects
Made from genuine materials, Objects reflects Fritz Hansen’s proud heritage of high quality and exquisite craftsmanship. The collection exudes not only beauty and simplicity, but has a natural touch and feel that highlights its subdued tones such as sand, earth and stone.
Each item in the collection has a story of its own to tell. The mirror is not really a mirror – for all its intent and purpose, it’s meant to reflect your personality and style. The vase is designed to pay tribute to the whole flower – not just the head. The beautiful Shaker-inspired trays are crafted with the same materials and attention to detail as the Ant and Series 7 chair.
‘Creating Objects, we looked back into our rich heritage, but also reached out to Danish and international contemporary designers in order to continue our legacy in fine furniture. This has resulted in a family of items that will make you stop and think – and hopefully capture your fascination too. These are items that will enhance the ambiance of your home by their mere presence alone. The collection begins with the twelve objects that will develop over time, as new items for the home will be added to the accessories line,’ says Christoffer Back, Director, Fritz Hansen Objects.
“We are really excited about the launch of Objects at our new store in Brea, that has been turned into an atelier. We have created a workspace in the basement and in the ground floor we have created an atelier where the collection of Objects are being exhibited. We are looking forward to being part of the homes in Singapore and discover how Objects transcends borders.”
The elements in the Objects series offer more than an alluring appearance. They have an uncanny way of engaging your senses. Design aficionados will feel instantly drawn to the dynamic lines of the designs combined with the tactile sensations of the authentic materials such as the scent of Cedar wood and the natural wood surface – the experience in itself inspiring.
