Special guests from Fritz Hansen and SieMatic grace the event, joined by the joint founder of Santa & Cole who had flown in specially for the exclusive opening of the House of W. Atelier.
25 November 2017, Singapore – W. Atelier has certainly delivered on its promise to be bigger and better as it reopened the doors of the newly renovated Bukit Timah Showroom to welcome close to 100 guests last night. Aptly named the House of W. Atelier, it was definitely a sight to behold as guests took in the new space and the emotions it evoked – luxurious yet homely, comfortable yet elegant, stylish yet functional.
The evening kicked off with guests sipping on cocktails and feasting on tasty morsels prepared directly onsite at the live kitchen from SieMatic. As guests mingled in the various rooms of the House of W. Atelier, it was clear that the House of W. Atelier was not your typical showroom. Designed to mimic the layout of an actual house, guests were treated to the intimate experience of literally being hosted at a dinner party in a home./
In his opening address, Mr. Gani Atmadiredja, Managing Director of W. Atelier, warmly welcomed guests to the House of W. Atelier – the second experiential showroom to be launched by W. Atelier this year. Mr. Gani Atmadiredja also announced W. Atelier’s latest partnership with My Turn To Host (MYTH), a holistic culinary studio that imparts the art of cooking, baking and hospitality. In a move towards customer empowerment, this partnership will serve to benefit customers of W. Atelier through various workshops and activities that will be conducted by MYTH exclusively at W. Atelier showrooms.
Representing Republic of Fritz Hansen and SieMatic, both of which have their flagships located within the walls of the House of W. Atelier, were Mr. Dario Reicherl (CEO Asia & Middle East, Fritz Hansen) and Mr. Matthias Weiss (Export Sales Director, SieMatic). Mr. Dario Reicherl painted quite the enigmatic figure but his passion for Fritz Hansen and W. Atelier was evident in his address. Likewise, Mr. Matthias Weiss shared Dario’s sentiments regarding SieMatic and the House of W. Atelier.
Flying in directly from Barcelona just one day prior to the opening of the House of W. Atelier was Ms. Nina Maso, joint founder and publisher of Santa & Cole – an independent editor of household lighting that hails from Barcelona. Lighting is without a doubt a deciding factor of the ambience of any room, and this was evidenced by the specially selected lighting by Santa & Cole that gave many a room in the House of W. Atelier a specific desired effect.
The House of W. Atelier covers all aspects of luxury home furnishing and one can expect no less from a company as established as W. Atelier. Some highlights include the Series 7 chairs from Danish furniture design company, Republic of Fritz Hansen; premium European designer kitchens from SieMatic; the Cavour writing desk designed as an homage to Carlo Mollino (1949) from Zanotta; a walk-in closet system made in Italy from Lema; sophisticated lighting from Santa & Cole; and unique handblown glass chandeliers from Lasvit.
Before the night drew to a close, guests gathered for the final segment of the night: the lucky draw. The prizes were no less attractive than items on display in the House of W. Atelier and three lucky winner walked away with the coveted prizes worth more than $3,000 in total. They are: a Grand Prix chair designed by Arne Jacobsen from Republic of Fritz Hansen; a Caravaggio table lamp designed by Cecilie Manz from Lightyears; and a Basello coffee table designed by Achille Castiglioni from Zanotta.
At the end of the night, guests left with no doubt in their minds that W. Atelier has once again raised the bar in the fine art of luxury home furnishing, and empowering customers in terms of experience and product offerings.
The House of W. Atelier is located at 75 Bukit Timah Road, #01-01, Singapore 229833.
